HaNoi - LaoCai - BacHa - SaPa - LaiChau - DienBien - MaiChau ( 13 Days )
A former French hill station, located in the middle of the breaktaking landscapes in the north of Vietnam, Sapa is one of the most wonderful places in Asia and is a magical combination of landscapes, ethnic cultures and bracing mountain air.

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi. Transfer to hotel. Time relaxing for promenade around Hoan Kiem Lake and ancient, yet lively Old Quarter. Ovenight at Classic hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B,L,D)
Visit HoChiMinh Mausoleum, HoChiMinh stilt house, One pillar pagoda and Temple of Literature. Afternoon exploring of Hanoi's silk, art or visit Ethnology museum and other museums. Night train to Lao Cai.

Day 3: Lao Cai - Bac Ha Sunday Market (B,L,D)
6.00 am arrive in LaoCai. Breakfast, jeep transfer to BaoNhai, bike ride 20 kms up hill to Bac Ha. Visit the most colorful hill tribe market day. Afternoon we ride to Hmong village around Bac Ha. Overnight at Sao Mai hotel.
Day 4: Bac Ha to Sapa ~ 105kms (B,L,D)
Moring transfer to LaoCai, chanllenge climb up 35kms to Sapa (alt. +1,550m). Afternoon cycling around Sapa, visit to TaVan, a village of the Giay minority. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 5: Sapa area ~ 40kms (B,L,D)
This tour takes you through the Sapa valley with its amazing scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields as far as the eye can see. You will start from Sapa by cycling along the newly built dirt road, which will bring you to the Black Hmong village of Su Pan. After a short break here, you will pass through the Black Hmong village to the Tay ethnic minority village of Thanh Phu. While your cook is preparing a delicious lunch, you will have time to explore the village and soon you will find out that things are not done in the way you are used to know. In the afternoon, your adventure continues into the Red Dao village of Sin Chai. Then minibus pick up and transfer back to Sapa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Sapa - Heaven gate - TamDuong ~80kms (B,L,D)
Best mountain view today, about 3 hours up hill, with a stop over Silver waterfalls for relax before we conquer the highest mountain pass Oquiho. Then decending down the great panoramic view of HoangLienSon mt. range. Lunch en route. Nice villages of Hmong and coins's Dao near BinhLu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: TamDuong - Paso - LaiChau ~115kms (B,L,D)
Some part of the road is bad, but great view along NamNa river. Scenic Da river from HangTom suspension bridge. Overnight at Lan Anh hotel.
Day 8: LaiChau - DienBien. ~ 185kms (B,L,D)
A nice ride day with stop over the Red H'mong village before climb up to Mathiho pass. Overnight at Muong Thanh hotel.
Day 9: DienBien - TuanGiao - Sonla ~ 165km (B,L,D)

Ride back to the former French battlefield : A1 hill, DeCastries bunker, DienBien museum you will see some old US weapons here too. Then we have easy ride through many Thai villages to TuanGiao and Sonla.
Challenge 20 kms winding climb up hill and 15 kms down hill. Nice landscape of green rice fields and karst valley. Light traffic, wandering water buffaloes, Thai and Hmong kids. Overnight at Trade Union hotel.
Day 10: SonLa - MocChau - MaiChau ~120kms (B,L,D)
Bus support available. The road passes beneath spectacular karst cliffs with the valley floor visible far below. Lots of Black Thai villages, descending to MaiChau valley. Overnight on stilt house of Thai.

Day 11: MaiChau - PuLuong ~50kms (B,L,D)

A relaxing day of cycling, boat cruise, walking to visit villages. Pu Luong proposed nature reserve is located in Quan Hoa and Ba Thuoc districts, in north-western Thanh Hoa province. To the north-east, the nature reserve is bordered by Mai Chau, Tan Lac and Lac Son districts, Hoa Binh province. The proposed nature reserve lies along two parallel mountain ridges, that run from north-west to south-east, and are bisected by a central valley. This valley contains several human settlements and a large area of agricultural land and hence is not included within theproposed nature reserve.Overnight on stilt house.
Day 12: Puluong - MaiChau - Hanoi ~ 95kms (B,L,D)
First 15kms out of MaiChau is up ThungNhuoi pass, then we go 17kms down to ManDuc and two more gentle hill to DocCun. (25kms). We take a small route to BaiChao onto LuongSon. Our bus pick up and come back to Hanoi. Farewell dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Departure (B)
Free time till transfer to airport for departure.
