Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong Nature Reserve (L/D)
7.30 am: Our private car and guide will pick you up at your hotel then we head toward Pu Luong Nature Reserve where offers you chances to explore the pristine and peaceful land of ethnic minorities’ villages. The 180 km drive takes 5 hours with a scheduled stop for lunch on the way.
Stop at Co Lung commune, we will start a 1.5 hour-walking-trip along the road in Thai’s village. You will be fascinated by plenty of water-wheels, a unique cultural feature of Thai and Muong people living in the nature reserve of Pu Luong to navigate water sources for their farming activities.
Arrive in Hieu Hamlet – the most beautiful and remote hamlet in Pu Luong national park, you will continue trekking up along the nice waterfall to come to a stilt house for overnight homestay. On the trekking way, the mysterious land lying dangerously on the slope of the mountain with rice-terraced fields tottering horizontally to the sky will capture your heart and imagination at first sight.
Then, meet local host family & check-in Thai’s traditional house on stilts for your overnight. If you like to understand more of local culture, you can join in local’s dinner preparation, having nice talks & drinking local wine with them. That is interesting with a lot of fun in your homestay tip.
