Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pu Luong (L, D)

8.00 am: You will be picked up at your hotel for a scenic drive to Mai Chau - a beautiful mountainous area in the Northwest of Vietnam. Upon arrival at Pom Coong village in Mai Chau, take a short walk to visit the Thai ethnic minority. Lunch will be served at a local house.

In the afternoon, make your way to Pu Luong Natural Reserve, about 20 km from Pom Coong village. Upon arrival, set off your 2 to 3-hours walk through beautiful hill tribe villages, green rice fields. 

This walking tour will be a great opportunity for you to enjoy the natural beauty of Pu Luong Natural Reserve and have a closer look at the daily life of Thai people. Pay a visit to a traditional stilt house of Thai people where you are warmly welcomed by the family host. Dinner and overnight at a local house in Hang village.

Day 2: Pu Luong Trekking Full Day (B, L, D)

This morning, try to wake up early to mingle into the daily life of the locals or take a leisurely stroll around Hang village to get a glimpse of life in this peaceful land. After breakfast with Thai friends, you will start your trekking tour. Trekking duration for today will be about 5 to 6 hours. During your Pu Luong Trekking, you will cross through streams; go through the valley, rice terraces, and lush rainforest.

A picnic lunch will be served along the way at Ao Ken Village. Upon arrival in Kho Muong - a placid village with a stunning setting, you could stroll around the village, explore the local life or relax at an eco-homestay. Take your time to immerse yourself in the peaceful scenery and fresh air of the region.

Day 3: Pu Luong – Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast, set off your easy trek through the beautiful valley, sleeping villages with great views. Make a short break for relaxing before continuing onto a beautiful village surrounded by karst mountains and rice terraces. After 3-4 hours of trekking, arrive in a small town in the Pho Doan market.

Lunch will be served at a local food stall in the town followed by a transfer back to Hanoi. End of service.
