Itinerary
Day 1: Hoa Lu - Tam Coc
8.00 am: Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quater, then leave by coach to Hoa Lu (2.5 hours). Visit the historic capital of Viet Nam and the famous ancient temples of Le and the Dinh Dynasties. Then our bus will transfer you from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc for lunch around 12.30 pm.
After lunch, boat trip to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Then, cycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc - Bich Dong (around 5 km). Return the car. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 2: Ninh Binh - Mai Chau
08.00 am: Our driver will pick you up at Ninh Binh, depart for Mai Chau Valley
8.00 - 11.30 am: Take 3,5 - hours driving by experienced drivers to the lush Mai Chau valley, rich with rice fields and ancient tea plantations.
11.30 - 12.00 am: Stop to take scenic photos before you arrive at Mai Chau. Admire the stunning backdrop of green limestone mountains, rice paddies, and fruit orchards. In the summer, each orchard is a different color as the fruits begin to ripen.
12.15 pm: You will check-in home-stay or hotel in Lac Village. Take rest and have a delicious Vietnamese food in there.
14.00 - 16.30 pm: After lunch in Lac village (vegetarian options are available), take a 2-hours guided cycle ride and see farmers working in the fields, and locals weaving scarves in Lac Village and Pom Coong Village. Visit the peaceful villages of traditional stilt houses dotted between modern homes.
19.00 pm: Enjoy the dinner at the home-stay. You also have a chance to enjoy the Thai’s ethnic Performance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can”.
Overnight in Mai Chau
Day 3: Hot Biking Full day to Xo Village (B, L, D)
8.00 am: Wake up and have a light breakfast at Mai Chau
8.30 - 11.30 am: Drive to Xo village and Buoc Village
12.00 pm: Have a delicious lunch at the local house in Xo village
13.30 - 17.00 pm: Trekking half day to Xo and Buoc village, discover the daily life of local people in here
17.30 - 18.00 pm: Return the Mai Chau Village and overnight in the local village
Day 4: PaCo - Xa Linh - Hanoi
8.00 am: Wake up and have a light breakfast.
8.30 - 11.30 am: Trekking to Paco Xa Linh to view the beautiful scenes, communicate with local people and visit the Sunday - Market in Paco - a typical and unique market in Paco Xa Linh
12.00 pm: Have a delicious lunch at the local house. Take and rest to prepare for returning Hanoi
On way back Hanoi, you will get through Hoa Binh Hydro Electric Reservoir to take a short break. Get a free time to take last photos in there
16.30 - 18.00 pm: Return Hanoi
