Ba Be Lake – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Pac Po Cave – 3 Days/2 Nights

Ba Be Lake is the largest natural lake in Vietnam. It is located in Nam Mau commune, Ba Be district, Bac Kan Province in the Northeast region of the country. Ba Be Lake with area 6,5km2, 8km long and Surface elevation: 145 m, is one of 20 biggest lakes in the world. Around the lake, there are about 1.268 kinds of plants, 470 kinds of animals, 234 kinds of birds, and about 107 kinds of fish. Landscape at Ba Be lake is stunning with Dang Dau Waterfall and several caves. Some places at Ba Be lake has its own legends, stories.

Ban Gioc waterfall is located in Cao Bang province, on the Chinese – Vietnamese border. Ban Doc is the biggest waterfall in Southeast Asia. The landscape at the fall is so mighty! Visiting Ban Doc waterfall, you will have a chance to learn about the culture of local ethnic groups. You also have a chance to taste their local special food.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake (230 km)

07.00 am: Departure from Hanoi to Ba Be National Park.

12.00 pm: Lunch in a local restaurant in Cho Ra Town.

14.30 pm: Arrival at Buoc Lom Wharf. Boat-trip along the Nang River to Ba Be Lake, one of 20 biggest fresh lakes on the mountain in the world.

15.00 pm: Stop at Puong cave which is famous with thousands of bats.

16.00 pm: Visit An Ma Temple to know more religions and beliefs in Vietnam.

17.00 pm: Swim in freshwater and enjoy the bamboo rafting.

18.00 pm: Trekking to your homestay (1 km) in Pac Ngoi village, a small village of Tay people. Check in the Ba Be Lake View homestay.

19.00 pm: Have dinner in the homestay.

20.00 pm: Enjoy traditional Tay musical performance (excluded). You can share the show with other tourists.

21.00 pm: Overnight at homestay of Tay people’ traditional house-on-stilt.

Day 2: Ba Be Lake – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang (300 km)

07.00 am: Have breakfast and departure for Cao Bang.

12.30 pm: Lunch in a local restaurant in Quang Uyen town.

14.00 pm: Visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, the 4th largest waterfall along a national border.

15.00 pm: Visit Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger cave).

16.00 pm: Return to Cao Bang city. Stay in Thanh Loan hotel.

Day 3: Cao Bang – Pac Bo – Hanoi (400 km)

07.00 am: Check-out and start to visit Pac Bo Cave where President Ho Chi Minh came back to Vietnam after 30 years abroad. Visit Pac Bo Cave, Lenin river, Karl Marx mountain, stone table.

12.00 pm: Have lunch in a local restaurant on the way to come back to Hanoi.

19.00 pm: Arrive in Hanoi. The tour ends.
